Mr. Craig Ross created this site to outline the many unique and compelling ways the Internet can be used in the classroom. Mr. Ross is a Fourth Grade teacher at Lowell School, a K-8 school, in the heart of downtown Phoenix.

Part of the Phoenix One Elementary School District.

This Web site was created to help my students and parents in assisting their education. In many areas it is also a showcase for our Fourth Grade technology specialists who are stealing the show, proving it is kind of fun to do the impossible.

Welcome to Fourth Grade!

This is a new school Year.
We will use every minute wisely.
We are here because we want to learn.
We will not do anything to hinder our learning.
We will listen, We will study, We will think!

Our Teacher Mr. Ross

Parents are encouraged to visit the class, Observe and Volunteer to help out in the class. Please remember to sign in at the office before coming to the class and obtain a visitors pass. I am not able to let visitors in the class without a visitors pass. I am not able to let your child leave the class without them being signed out at the office.

Please make sure your child is on time every day. Students who are late age given One Hour Detention after school the following day. Right after the morning announcements we begin our S.F.A. Program. This program is an effective program at grasping an understanding of questions they may encounter in State Mandated Exams in Reading.

Mr. Ross is a Fourth Grade Teacher at Lowell Elementary School. His School Day begins around 7:00 every day. He meets with parents from 8:20-8:45 AM and as needed and after school by appointment only. Mr. Ross will be glad to reply to e-mail from other teachers with questions on bringing technology in to the class, or parents with questions on assignments. You may also schedule a meeting with him. myteachermrross@cox.net

Mr. Ross'  Philosophy of Education

·         The key to success in the classroom is to make sure children feel they are a valued part of the classroom.

 ·         As a teacher I must be appreciative, give lots of positive feedback, and ask questions of the students.

·         Responsibility is a key part of being a valued member of the classroom.

·         Privileges help children maintain that responsibility.

·         Trust and Membership in a classroom will build the students sense of self-respect

Was your child out today?

If they have a brother or sister they can pick up the work for them.

All work must be made up.

Students who are out will be given one day for each day absent to turn in their work.

While they are out, and if they are feeling up to it, they can always do the following:

  1. Read (instead of watching television)
  2. Practice their multiplication and division factor families
  3. Study your spelling words (This site has a link for them)

I can't wait to see you back in class.
Mr. Ross
